May 2008

It is with great pride that the New Jersey Community Action Association (NJCAA) presents our publication, "An Informed Position on Poverty in New Jersey." (available for download by clicking on the icon to the right)

We are proud of Community Action's efforts across our state to improve the lives of those in need, and in turn, to strengthen communities state-wide.

Our position on poverty publication offers a realistic look at our state's economic picture and what that means for working families struggling to make ends meet in light of economic challenges fueled by rising costs of daily essentials.

We face tremendous challenges as a state and as a nation, but overcoming such challenges is nothing new to Community Action. Please review our position on poverty publication to more fully understand the plight of our state residents and better understand how you can help Community Action continue to make positive strides and make the American Dream everyone's reality.

Sincerely,

Albert B. Kelly
President
