New Jersey received $118 million last year to provide weatherization through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, ARRA. The goal is to provide 13,500 units with energy conservation services. This will require the participation of more contractors than are currently working with the program. Links below will provide information about the ARRA Weatherization Program and how to become a Responsible Contractor.

Weatherization Bulletin 501A: The rules and regulations for the ARRA Weatherization Program are outlined in this bulletin from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. This bulletin should be reviewed before proceeding.

Sample Contract: The agency and contractor will enter into a formal agreement once a contractor is selected through the bid process. This is sample of what details will be included in an agreement. Keep in mind that this is only a sample and specific parameters of the agreement will vary according to each project.
